About Michael Miska

Michael (“Mike”) Miska is a passionate advocate for aviation, transportation, products safety. Mike is a private pilot, holding ratings for single engine and multi-engine aircraft, as well as an instrument rating. Mike comes from a family of pilots, and as such has owned and managed several single and multi-engine aircraft. Mike is a leader in the field of aviation law, having secured several influential victories on behalf of his clients. Mike also has a keen understanding of aircraft, helicopter and engine design and function, which he uses to uniquely analyze the cause of aviation mishaps. In addition to aviation, Mike is passionate about mechanics and everything automobile, having restored several cars and trucks, and he utilizes this knowledge to analyze malfunctions which can occur with all manners of transportation and in products claims.

Mike has extensive experience through all phases of litigation, from the development of a case through trial. His practice is spread nationwide, at both the lower and appellate court levels. He has handled cases involving a variety of aircraft and rotorcraft, including models from Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Mooney, Commander, Gulfstream, Boeing, Robinson, Lancair, and Commander, as well as many helicopters such as Bell, Schweizer and Sikorsky. His experience includes cases involving aircraft with single and twin piston engines, single and twin turboprop engines as well as jet engines. Mike has litigated cases involving private, chartered and commercial flights, performing a variety of missions. The successful outcome of his cases is also due to his keen interest in mechanics.
